Take a belt you already wear, lay it flat, and measure from the buckle pin to the hole you actually use — that is the length to match. If you are between sizes or wear your trousers on the hip, go up. This belt has multiple holes, so there is some room either way.

Materials and craftsmanship

An obi belt is cut long and wide in one continuous piece — there is no buckle to engineer, so everything rests on the suppleness of the material. A stiff band will not tie cleanly; this one is finished soft enough to knot and hold its shape.

Over a dress, a coat, a knit or an oversized shirt. Wrap it around the waist — once for a broad band, twice for a narrower one — and tie or knot at the front, side or back. Roll it for storage; folding leaves permanent creases.

How do I know which size to order?

Belt sizing trips almost everyone up: your belt size is your trouser waist size, not the measurement around your body — they're usually two to three inches apart. The reliable method is to take a belt you already wear, lay it flat, and measure from the pin of the buckle to the hole you actually use. That's the length to match. If you're between sizes or wear your trousers on the hip, go up.
What if I'm still not sure?

Choose the braided brown belt. Because the band is woven, the pin goes through anywhere in the weave rather than into fixed holes — it adjusts to any waist, so there's no size to get wrong. The obi belt is the same: 250 cm that wraps and ties, one size for everyone.
Is this real leather?

No — vegan leather, and we'd rather be plain about it. It's animal-free, it wipes clean instead of needing conditioner, and it doesn't crack the way untreated hide does. It won't develop the patina real leather does over decades.
Will the gold buckle wear off?

The gold-tone and silver-tone buckles are plated. Water is survivable; perfume and hand sanitiser are not — those strip plating faster than anything else. The brass buckle on the braided belt is solid brass, so it develops a patina rather than flaking. Polish it or leave it, either works.
Where do you ship to?

United Kingdom only — England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and UK postcodes served by our four carriers. We do not currently ship internationally.
How long does delivery take?

5–7 business days from order to doorstep (1–2 days handling + 4–5 days transit). Orders before 16:00 UK time, Mon–Fri begin handling the same day.

What condition must the candle be in to return?

New, unused, wick untrimmed and uncut, no burn marks, in original packaging.
Who pays return postage?

Defective / wrong product: we do. Change of mind: you do. After our approval, download and print a return label.
How fast is the refund?

Within 7 business days of us receiving the returned candle. Refund goes back to your original payment method.
