Which bulb does it need?
A bulb with an E27 fitting, ideally a warm-light LED: that is the one giving the amber glow in the photos. LEDs give off little heat and last a long time.
What is the difference between the amber and the white glass?
Amber glass tints the light orange and creates a warmer, cosier atmosphere. White glass gives a more neutral, brighter light that also suits reading.
Where does it work best?
On a bedside table, a desk or a hallway console. The gold base warms up wooden interiors, while the silver one goes well with grey and white tones.
How do you switch it on?
With the rotary switch: one turn for on, one for off. It plugs into a mains socket like any ordinary table lamp.
Is the light bright or soft?
Soft: the three tiers of glass shield the bulb and spread the light downwards and to the sides. For reading choose a more powerful LED, for ambience a dimmer bulb is enough.
